Micro Switch D44

What it is: A small snap-action electrical switch (microswitch) used in various machines to detect position or turn things ON/OFF when a lever/button is pressed.

Where used:

Door/cover sensors in vacuum cleaners, washers etc.

Trigger or safety switches in spray guns / pressure washers.

Control panels / push-buttons.

Arcade machines (buttons / joysticks) also use D44 type.

Key functions:

Detect when a mechanical part moves or is pressed.

Enable or disable power/signal as needed.

Provide reliable, repeated switching (click on/off) with small movement.

Important specs:

Rated current: 10A, 250 VAC for AC use; also works at lower DC ratings.

Mechanical life: Many millions of operations (e.g. ~ 10 million) for good quality ones.

Operating / actuation force: Standard ~ 75 grams (force needed to press the switch) for some D44X variants.

Terminal types: Blade / quick-connect blades (.187", etc.), PCB mounting, etc.

When to use/replace:

If the switch no longer clicks or stops working reliably.

If electrical connections are loose or burned.

If movement is stiff, or contacts are corroded.
